Who is Allah?
Whenever a Muslim talks about his/her religion, it always comes to the question, who is Allah? Why aren’t he/she saying God instead of” Allah”.
Allah is the proper name applied to the one true divine God who exists necessarily by himself, whose most beautiful names describe his divine attributes. When the pagans of Mecca asked Mohammed (SAW) to describe them his (Mohammed)’s God, as they thought Allah was just another idol like they kept at their houses. Allah sent these words to Mohammed,
Say: He is Allah, the One and Only. Allah, the eternally Besought of all!. He begetteth not nor was begotten. And there is none comparable unto Him. (surat Al-Ikhlas 112: 1-4)
These verses of the Holy Quran taught the Muslims who their God is, for the unbelievers of Mecca these words taught them Allah is neither like anyone they knew nor like their false gods.
Allah further explains in the holy Quran so that it may be clear to everyone
Allah is He, than Whom there is no other god;- the Sovereign, the Holy One, the Source of Peace (and Perfection), the Guardian of Faith, the Preserver of Safety, the Exalted in Might, the Irresistible, the Supreme: Glory to Allah! (High is He) above the partners they attribute to Him. He is Allah, the Creator, the Evolver, the Bestower of Forms (or Colours). To Him belong the Most Beautiful Names: whatever is in the heavens and on earth, doth declare His Praises and Glory: and He is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (Surat Al-Hashr 59: 23-24)
He is the creator in whose hands is the disposal of all affires, Allah th omnipotent and the omniscient. Allah Says in the Holy Quran:
To Him is due the primal origin of the heavens and the earth: When He decreeth a matter, He saith to it: "Be," and it is (Surat Al-Baqarah 2: 117
Allah is wise in all actions and just in all his decrees; his justice ensures order in the universe in which nothing is out of order.
There is no god but He: That is the witness of Allah, His angels, and those endued with knowledge, standing firm on justice. There is no god but Him, the Exalted in Power, the Wise. (Surat Al-Imran 3:18)
He is the exalted Allah. glory be to him. He is far removed from every imperfection. Allah says in the Holy Quran:
Allah! There is no deity save Him, the Alive, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtaketh Him. Unto Him belongeth whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is in the earth. Who is he that intercedeth with Him save by His leave? He knoweth that which is in front of them and that which is behind them, while they encompass nothing of His knowledge save what He will. His throne includeth the heavens and the earth, and He is never weary of preserving them. He is the Sublime, the Tremendous. (Surat Al-Baqarah 2:255)

if you read the history of gods, you'll see the turn from polytheism to monotheism begins in the Axial age where zoroaster came up with the belief that life is about a battle between good and evil and it slowly evolved. later Moses was confronted by Yahweh came the one true God concept.
why is Mohamad's father name Abdullah? It mean slave of Allah? this was before mohammed was even born, so why do you think there were so many names that bare the same last part, could it be deduced as well that Allah 'the name' was a pagan god (one of many) that were at mohammad's early life?

well the history of god is just a philosophy theres no proof to that
ilaah in arabic means god and Allah means the God. and Mohammed was not the only one who called for the one true god all the prophets before him did, try checking the names of the pagan gods the Mecca had, none would turn up as Allah, even at that time there were people on Abraham's religion, Jews, Christians were also there. the meaninf of Mohammed's Father means the slave of the god. Mohammed father died before he knew Islam and it was said he was not a Jew nor a Christian, it was reported when someone asked about his dead father Mohammed said your dad and my dad are in hell. (for not believing in one God)

History is not a philosophy. history is based on evidence and when it comes to God, i think historians try the recorded history by its followers, from the accounts of all civilizations obtainable. The stories of Mohammad and Allah is just one among them. If you refute the rest, then what evidence you have to defend the accounts of mohammad and Allah?

i can relate to above anon's frustration and ramblings. his despair and utter loneliness in this ugly life. language tells a lot my friend.
Its only natural my dear that you are indeed pissed. althoughm, you follow the best religion and live in the best society with best social values, to see the western world developed so high and so far well off than ours. i can only imagine and relate your feelings dear! how could allah permit such infidels life prosper while ours plunge day after day to poverty and to its extreme. how could he? Americans and Europeans enjoy the life and we the chosen one's live in disgust.
You most of these guys from Pakestan or Afghan when they go America or Europe they see the life style they live, the freedom they enjoy. firt, they are stunned and enjoy themselves, in pubs, brothels and then they go nuts after a while to the extent they blow themselves up. Its not just about Jihad as ordained, but there is a psychological element as described above. just food for thought!
I am astonished with how ignorant some Maldivians are deceiving in western norms. Truly, any human can live in any way they want in this world. The Almighty Allah (SWT) will bestow any path human chose to live in this world, whether it is wrong or right. You all could write anything that comes to your mind. We all muslims will prove you on that day, when we all stand before Allah (SWT) and you have no coming back to ramify your mistakes.

u wanna know what is allah- a duality that is adam & eve at the singularity, ie what we commonly call heaven
all that we see was created by adam, eve and their children....what we are doing here is making our way towards that singularity...when we die we travel in time to the future, the singularity- the end game we call heaven..... meanwhile humans will continue to be born into this multiverse till we arrive at a point where we all become scientifically divine and are thus able to shape our physical world as we very well please....earth is therefore merely the first station, thus time travel is inevitable..... if u say angels or divine muujizaats it means time-travel from those in heaven back into the past, that is our future....very simple to explain the quran scientifically :)
